Extra Video Converter is an application that allows you to convert video from various popular formats including AVI, DIVX, XVID, MPEG, MPG, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, SWF, FLV, VOB, to AVI, MPEG, MP4, 3GP, WMV, FLV, MOV video and extract audio to MP3, WMV, OGG and WAV files.
Formats supported by this application can be reproduced on portable devices like Apple iPod, Sony PSP, 3GP compatible Mobile Phones, Microsoft Zune, and other popular players. It has preset profiles with the most common configurations for different formats and devices and lets you configure output parameters like video format, size, quality, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio channels, quality, sample rate, volume, etc. You can also trim video by selecting start and end points of a clip to convert with the help of a small preview screen.
This program has a nice and easy to use interface with all the basic tools in a single window and supports batch conversion to process multiple files simultaneously. It lacks editing features like crop, or the possibility to add effects, but is a good option for users who want to encode files and use them with a variety of players.
